The Mission of the Market is to develop and promote Alaska’s agricultural, horticultural and cottage industries, providing quality produce and products to the public.

The Tanana Valley Farmers Market, which opened in the mid 1970’s, showcases a wide variety of Alaska Grown produce and plants and Made in Alaska and Silver Hand arts and handicrafts.  It’s the oldest established farmers market in Alaska, and the only one located in its own permanent building. The Tanana Valley Farmers Market in a member of the the Farm Bureau.

Shopping is fun at the Market!  You will find a great selection of fresh vegetables in season, displayed by growers who travel from throughout the Tanana Valley—an area larger than the state of Indiana—to participate.

Enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee or tea, and feel free to browse around the Market and chat with our vendors.

WIC AND SENIOR FARMERS MARKET COUPONS

The WIC (women, infants, children) program and senior Farmers Market coupon program is administered by the State of Alaska, Department of Health and Social Services and the Alaska State Farmers Market Nutrition Program. It's purpose is (1) to provide locally grown, fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs for currently eligible WIC women and children, and eligible senior citizens, and (2) to expand customer base and use of farmers markets where consumers can buy direct from the grower.
